Lasair Dhearg want to send special thanks to our friends and supporters who have, over the last number of days, offered their help, advice and support regarding the recent cancellation of our planned Hungerstrike commemorative night.
We are pleased to announce that the event is now being reorganised and will go ahead at 7pm on Monday the 14th of October. The ‘Night of Song & Poetry’ will now be hosted by O’Donnells GAC on Belfast’s Whiterock Road, featuring contributions from ex-Blanketman Pádraic Mac Coitir, as well as music from Pádraig Ó Deorain and contributions from others including poems and documents from the period.
The evening will be followed by a ballad and trad session and include bar access.
