Public Talk: Drugs, Addiction & Decriminalisation
- This event has passed.
Description
Lasair Dhearg’s recently launched position paper argues that the continued criminalisation of drug users and addiction does not help to resolve what is an endemic issue in our communities but makes it worse, and that the only effective solution is to treat drug use and addiction as a health issue. The complete decriminalisation of all drugs would allow the health service on both sides of the failed border to more effectively tackle this issue if adequately resourced.
Join Lasair Dhearg Derry’s public talk at 7pm on Wednesday the 3rd of November to discuss the issue of ‘Drugs, Addiction & Decriminalisation’.
