Lasair Dhearg was founded less than two years ago, with the firm belief that Britain has no right in Ireland.
We understand that the only acceptable Irish Republic is one free from foreign Imperialist interests, and that those interests are far reaching; absorbing all aspects of our economy, including housing, taxation, justice and policing, education and more. Extracting huge amounts in human and physical resources; reaping misery upon the masses.
That is why we oppose all aspects of Britain’s political and economic machine in Ireland.
That is why we have built campaigns for fair housing. It is why we have stood firmly against British Army and Mi5 recruitment in Ireland, and oppose their proxies in the PSNI. It is why we are actively organising for National Liberation and a Democratic Economy; for a Socialist Republic as the only means with which we can become the arbiters of our own destiny.
Britain’s conquests in Ireland are incomplete so long as someone or some group of people organises against it. Judge us on our Ten Point Programme, and our activism.
