An Spréach – Socialist Republican Magazine is evolving.
Founded in early 2018 as a non-profit project, managed independently from Lasair Dhearg, the magazine experienced considerable success during a time when printed publications were experiencing decreasing distribution. It did this for two full years, maintaining a growing distribution network and adequate cashflow to ensure the production of each subsequent issue.
Given the Covid crisis, and its impact on the local distribution networks that An Spréach relied upon, the magazine was out of circulation since the beginning of 2020. In order to ensure the continued success of the project, its organisers have decided to advance the magazine toward a purely digital production. As such, An Spréach will evolve into a newsletter format as an in-house Lasair Dhearg project, with previously familiar features, historical pieces, details of local activism and more.
We thank all those who have contributed to the magazines production in recent years, those who wrote articles and supplied imagery, those that digitally produced each issue, the editors, sub-editors and every single distributor in Ireland and internationally.
